I love this Wes, the value in bringing 'can do' to the table can't be underestimated, so it's great you've bought this up. This is a great follow up to your last piece about inverting 'but' - I'm going to start using it immediately. Thanks.
Thanks so much for another gem again, I took a lot of notes as always! Any ideas on how to become on talking more about your ideas? Being confident when I share them is where I struggle the most.
Thank you Carmina! Re: becoming more confident when sharing your ideas, what are you feeling self conscious about when sharing? It likely depends on the subject matter, who you’re presenting to, etc, but curious if you’ve noticed any patterns. I bet you’re confident sharing ideas in some settings, so I wonder if you have insights on what the variables might be.
Excellent framework, Wes. Identify the real problem, mention what you can't do, and offer an alternative (plus how the alternative will achieve the intended goal).
Often, people just want their problem solved; they're don't obsess over how it gets solved.
